2000 Chevrolet Blazer
I love my Chevy Blazer. When I was in High School and College, I always had compact cars. Small, maneuverable, fuel efficient and just big enough to get by. BUT, when my first son was 2 1/2 years old, we were rear-ended in traffic. Thank God, he was just fine, but, our car was totaled! The car who'd hit us was able to drive off. I was paranoid after that about his safety.
So, I went to my local GM dealer with my then-husband. He'd bought a 2000 Sonoma and really liked it. So, he picked out a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer with four doors for our family. It took me awhile to get used to driving something so large, but, it was great. I didn't have headlights glaring in my eyes at night and I never worried about having enough room to haul something.
I've got a husband and two kids, a stroller, tools and still have room for groceries. I've also transported a freezer, two televisions and some desks, along with a slew of building materials. It's been great... except when gas was $4 a gallon. Then it was a bit much, because I only get about 15-20 mpg with it.
The only modifications I'd really like to make to it would be the addition of power doors and an mp3 input for the stereo system. Oh, also a defroster for the rear window... the fog is a bit of a pain.
